What state are you in ? Whether or not the bike could be siezed if a judgment is granted depends on your state's exemptions. Same exemptions apply to bankruptcy - which goes to equity. Since you only really "own" half the bike, then only half the equity would be considered yours to exempt.

Could they place a lien on it ? Possibly, but they rarely do so for vehicles.
