I was up to 3am researching CAMCO on the www.
They seem like a really bad company and I am amazed that the Feds have not shut them down.
Out of the blue I got a call from them this week.
7+ years ago I defaulted on 2 Citibank Visa cards.
Because I was judgement proof--ie: no job, no bank accounts, no real property
I was never sued but I was hounded daily by CA's until the SOL finally arrived.
Now CAMCO owns this old credit card debt, and because they are so dishonest I am concerned.
Are they sueing everyone? or only people in certain states?
What evidence do I need to assemble to protect myself?
Should I protect my bank account?
If I have my Attorney write them a "cease and desist" letter will that be the end of it?
The debt is so old it no longer appears on my credit report.
