I assumed from your first question that you were filing a Chapter 7 or straight bankruptcy. If you are filing a Chapter 13 bankruptcy then you are entering into a payment plan of some variety that will last at least 36 months, and depending upon how it is crafted your unsecured creditors may or may not be paid. Unless the unsecured creditors to which your husband is jointly liable are fully paid then after discharge he will still have some liability.
