If you don't pay, the collection agencies will hound you for a while, but be forewarned, hospitals, more than other creditors, WILL sue you. So the likliehood is pretty good that you'll be served with one or more lawsuits at some point.

Bankruptcy may be your only way out if you cannot pay any of these debts.
