Bad news.. there are no specific provisions or exemptions for deeded property with mineral rights in KS.

I would suggest that you consult with a bankruptcy attorney, or 2 or 3, and find out if there's anything you can do that would protect it. Unfortunately, deeding it to someone else would not be the thing to do as any such actions in the year prior to filing will be looked at as possibly a fraudulent transfer.

There may be other ways to protect it, but you're going to need a lawyer to help you do it the right way.
