that all depends. calling you and sending dunning letters during the validation period without them validating is a violation of the law. The question is- did you send them out certified or just regular mail. Without proof it does not count. The courts are very anti-consumer when it comes to this. You have a right(even if it is your debt) to a complete validation of the debt including all fees. I would go to a place like creditboards.com and ask for a sample validation letter and send it out certified mail. Do not admit to it.
