If OC sells account to "another lender" and that "lender" sells to a CA, does the CA still have to have assignment from OC or some other type of agreement between the two of them giving the CA permission to collect? I would think they would have to since they are collecting for the OC and/or claiming to be the assignee of OC. So far, all this CA has shown is "affidavit of assignment" from the "middle man". The affidavit of assignment that the CA sent me is dated in July. If this is all he has (so to speak) then pulling my CR and trying to collect in June would be "wrong" would it not?

On another note, does anyone know if there is a limit to the # of times a debt can be "sold" or assigned?
