Let me clarify something - the last payment was May, but it was only a partial payment. I think the account reached it's six months past due status by the end of July.

For what it's worth, I've used C&D on other collection agencies/attornies. They seemed to have work because the accounts got kicked back to the original creditor. Bud Hibbs is adamant about working with the original creditor, not agencies or attornies. Not sure which advice to follow here.
