NC-SOL question for WhyChat

Hello Whychat, was wondering if you could help me w/ a SOL question. Puffnstuff recommended contacting you in an earlier post that I had (NC SOL) started on 9/4.

I had a CC w/ FCNB that is now in charge off status.
opened 99, 1st deliq. was 1/2000, and it was at 180 days 12/2001. I know the SOL for NC is three years but when does that date start? I was contacted by a CA over a year ago and was making payments with them. Did these payments re-start the SOL? The account has now been sold to another CA, Academy collections and they are hounding me for 3700.00 when the bal. owed is only 2700, and threatening me w/ a lawsuit, and calling daily.
Any info/guidance you can provide would be most appreciated. Puffnstuff mentioned that you had helped he/she with citing caselaw on NC SOL earlier...
