Scott,

I've found NOTHING in the FDCPA or the FCRA to
support a theory that states that Camco or any
other collection agency can not place an inquiry
on a consumers credit report.

This is damaging to our credit.

For YEARS.

From what I've read, all they need is the name
and address of the original creditor and YOUR
name (or some version of it) to legally place
an inquiry.

I know that you are dedicated to helping others
and I really, really respect that but where's the
section that states that they can't pull an
inquiry on ANY debt regardless of SOL?

I've spoken with all three CRAs and ALL of them
say that Camco has a legal right to place an
inquiry on a debt that's beyond SOL.

What's worse...

The collection agency is the ONLY one that can
have an inquiry removed and they must to it in
writing.

Either the CRAs are wrong and there's a ruling
somewhere, or consumers are in danger of getting
legally boned by scumbag bottom-feeding
collection agencys regardless of the validity of
a debt.

I've taken MANY hours out of my life to persue
more knowledge about how credit works, however,
I KNOW I've got much more to learn.

I'm really hoping I'm wrong about this statement.

But please...

PROVE it to me.

Thanx,

-=L=-
