The FDCPA does not state that a CA has 30 days to provide validation. In fact, they NEVER have to provide it, they DO, however, have to cease collections until they do. Many won't, they'll drop an account like a hot potato, either re-selling it or sending it back to the OC 'cause your request means you're NOT going to be an easy payday for them.

The 30 days that's a rule pertains to disputes with the CRA's. Per the FCRA they do have only 30 days to investigate and sometimes they can get an additional 15 days.

However, if the CA verfied with the CRA's, yet can not validate to you, THAT is bull and you need to show that to the CRA, you may get the tradeline deleted.
