Hello,
If I settle my charge offs how can I keep them from selling the balance to another collector? Can they turn the remaining balance over to the IRS as income? Also is it better to tell them not to report to the credit bureau? It should soon be dropped off my record. I've been paying them faithfully for over a year but now wondering if I should have paid them at all. I'm in Texas. Thank you,
