Buck,
Depending on what state you are in, the interrogatories may not necessarily have the court's signature on them.

You MUST answer these interrogatories. If they have already filed on you, and you have answered, then interrogatories are part of the process. If you do not answer them (again, depending on what state you are in) your court could find you in contempt of court, or the plaintiff (person filing against you) may be able to file for a default judgement against you.

The “judge” does not have to “tell you talk” as the rules for your states civil procedure is already outlined. I suggest you look them up. Interrogatories are a very normal part of the legal process to investigate discovery, or what facts you have regarding your case as the defendant. 30 days is also a very normal amount of time in which to file an answer.

Household Finance does not have to send the papers via certified mail. All that may be required in your state may be a “certificate of service” which is just a piece of paper stating they mailed it to you.

Get a lawyer!!!! By not answering these questions, you may be giving up your right to trial. Educate yourself!!!!!
