What is the process to get a debt reaged debt corrected/removed from my report?

I pulled my report last month, on it is a collection from Sherman Acq. it states the origional creditor is Gulf States/OSI, what irks me is that it shows I opened this in 10/2002, and last reported at 7/2003.

Ok I never had anything with these goons, I desputed it,and experian says it must remain. My question is this, OSI is probably collected on a CC that I let run back in 96-98, so how can a CA collect for another CA? If I can't get it removed what can I do to at least get correct dates shown, this looks like they are trying to keep this "Active" so there never is a SOL. I only have this and another charged off CC on my negative colum( 5 years old)
