I one time had a Chase Card which was past SOL.
This Creeton from a CA calls and gives all thier usual bull, then tells me he is going to call Chase and see if they will take $ 3,000 to settle the account and call me back in about 1/2 hr. I never even admitted that I had a Chase account.
So during the 1/2 hr period I myself called Chase, and they said they have no record anymore of my name in their files, not even my SS #.
The person from Chase even check somewhere else where he said it may show up and then came back and he could find nothing, and then said after an account has been charged off and sold, after a perod of time they purge their accounts ( clean them out) Ok so I get off the phone then this idiot calls back from the CA and tells me he just got off the phone with Chase and said they will settle for the $ 3,000.00 he suggested to them. What a joke. The point is, these a holes will lie, lie, and lie some more. Don't believe anything they say. Nothing.
Your debt is so far past the SOL they nor AMEX can do nothing that would be legal to hurt you.
