I live in Mass. DOLA on credit card account was 10/99. In April of this year, after a year of harrassment from collection agency (and before finding this board), I paid $900 of a $1600 balance to settle the account. My credit report now shows the original creditor listing the account as charged off as of May 2003, and past due 120 days. Can they do this?
