It all depends in what state you are in. If they call you and you are in a 1 party consent taping state you need not let them know they are being taped. Illinois is 2 party so you need to let them know they are being taped. HOWEVER, there is an illinois law stating you are allowed to tape them without their knowledge if they have or you believe they are about to break the law such as extort you or committ fraud upon you. Since camco does this constantly it is a safe bet taping them without letting them know. Some of their lackey attorneys tried to fight this against a NACA attorney and got wiped.
