Rlee,
The best way I have found to snag them is to serve a CA with your own set of interragatories. This will tell you exactly what they have on you.....

You are in Ohio right? In Ohio you can ask up to 40 Interragatory questions, and you may do so at any time after you receive notice of the complaint. Basically, you are then using the Interragatories, or Production of Documents to make them validate. Interragatories are what the legal protocal would be (instead of mailing a "letter" or debt validation request) AFTER a suit has been filed. In a way, the ball is in your court here, because if they do NOT answer the Interragatories, they are in violation of the legal system. AND....the burden of proof is on them to come up with a signed contract.

Still no validation and they dismiss the case? File against them with the discipline board or file against them in the Ohio Supreme Court for bad faith.
