Destroyed is a strong word. If the accounts were joint accounts then yes she is liable for those debts. If he was her ex-husband, why is she still on the accounts as joint?
She could, if he was assigned the debt in the divorce, take him back to court to try and settle the debt. But the Creditors do not care what the divorce say's they want their money, so she would have to sue in small claims if he was assigned the debt through the divorce.
I am not sure about the BK showing up on her report as hers, someone else here will know more I am sure.
