If you have a car you buy in 1996 and it gets repoed in 2000. And you are contacted by a collection agency on behalf of the lendor. Do you have to pay the amount owed? And if you do, do you get the car back? I bought the car in Massachussets in 1996 and it was repossesed in California july of 2000. I stil owed 6000.00 and was two payments behind when it happend. I also lost all the stuff that was in my car too. Do I have any recorse?
