In another era men the ilk of this credit-fixer peddled snake oil from the back of covered wagons. An example is Professor Marvel in the Wizard of Oz. He is a snake oil peddling fake clairvoyant in Kansas who during the dream sequence becomes the Wizard, both characters played by Frank Morgan. He was a cultured gentleman in real life and it comes through so you like him despite his dual roles as charlatans.
Not so this too-clever-by-half jerkXXX trying to steal $1400 from you by quasi legal means and snooker your bride as well.
If someone sat you down at an ornately carved table set with the finest china and sterling you'd nonetheless run like a scalded rat when the main course of steamed babboon droppings sauteed in extract of rats' pancreas was set before you.
Think of this character as the same dinner entree. You'd better benefit your credit by feeding $1400 to slot machines. The credit repair thugs are the right hand of the credit & collections shakedown 'industry', the left hand being the obvious enemy collectors.
Even if this reprobate were legit you could do better by yourself at minimal or no cost. Flee while you still might.

Fleetingly,

Keyser Soze
