CALL THEM!!! My husband got into a tight financial situation several years ago, called his creditors, and all but AmEx worked with him. No bad marks showed up on his credit report. I got into a tight financial situation several years ago, did not contact my creditors and my credit report got blasted. I paid them in full a few months later, but the damage was done, and I had to live with the negative entries for seven years, even tho I was delinquent for a such a short period of time. Good luck.
