It's not the end of the world though.

I racked up a pretty big debt in college. Now that I finally graduated and got a good paying job in Miami, my credit was so shitty I couldn't get a decent lease anywhere. After two places took my $50 for a background check, then told me "sorry, your credit didn't check out" (and kept the $50 of course), I had no choice but to look in the papers and online for a roommate, which I did. Luckily I wound up with a good one, and now I'm living just like I'm still in college. Sure the situation would be vastly different if I was married or had kids, but thank God I'm not and don't.

Sure it's a pain in the ass not having good credit. But the thing is it will change. I've got 8 chargeoffs on my credit, and 6 of them come off next year, so hopefully there is some light at the end of the tunnel.

It's not that I don't want to pay for my spending. I've noticed that these asshole companies have purposely uped the date on all or most of my derogatory accounts. Right now I should have perfect credit. I don't. Why? Because of asshole lying companies. Don't feel bad for not paying them. The interest they charge is robbery. They have already been paid by insurance when they charged off anyway, so who really gives a shit? If there's a way out of this that benefits me, you can be damn sure I'm going to pursue it.
