I am going through the same thing. Asset filed a SOL lawsuit against me as well. I followed Whychats advice on how to answer a lawsuit. Then I got a list of questions from Assets attorney that I didn't quite know how to handle so I went to meet with a a lawyer to just get some advice. He stated that everything I had done so far was great. So I would follow Whychats advice. He said the courts usually revert to the 6 yr SOL. In any event it past the 6 yrs as well. Mine is too, it doesn't show up on my credit report. I am doing things on my own, because it can get very costly hiring a lawyer, but the one I found sat and looked over all my things and gave me tons of advice. He charged $140 hr but I only was there for about 35 min so it wasn't that bad. Thats about all I know, I am in the same boat as you with these jerks. The lawyer did ask if there was a class action lawsuit against Asset for filing these time barred lawsuits.
