Just another Ohioan checking in. Finding a lawyer who is knowledgeable in Ohio SOl, FDCPA, etc is very hard if not impossible. I found the AGs office worthless, they told me the SOL on cc debt was in their opinion 15 yrs, but that was just what they tell each other there in the office. Pretty sad group of public employees.
I think we are all finding out that if you follow
everyones advice here these law suits never get as far as having the SOL ? come about. Seems that the CAs never have the records to properly back up their claim. They have to prove the amount of the debt, that the debt is yours, and that they have the right collect on that debt. After all of that then you can blow them out of the water with the 4 yr SOL if need be. I doubt it will go that far.
