I just graduated from college last month, and am still stuck in a part-time job until I finally put my degree to use. I have four outstanding credit card debts, all with the last payment action on my part around this time last year. Discover card sued me and won a default judgment because I was intimidated and did not go to court. This judgment was approximately 20 days ago. I'm aware that 30 days after judgment, an order for execution can be filed. My question is this...is execution as bad as I picture it? Is the sheriff going to knock my door down and take my bed? Also, what are the odds that this avenue will be taken? I know wage garnishment is also an option...but I make $7 / hr, and must pay rent, etc. Should I withdraw the $150 I have in the bank assuming they will seize my account? Any info anyone can give is greatly appreciated.
