My reason for asking is that Missouri SOL concerning credit cards is somewhat wishy washy.
I am being sued in Missouri for credit card debt that is beyond SOL in Texas where the Bankruptcy was filed and where it was dismissed. Texas SOL is straight forward 4 yr SOL. Once again this was dismissed on April 30, 1997.
I believe the Missouri Statute that would allow me to use the Texas SOL is Missouri 516.190 that says "Whenever a cause of action has been fully barred by the laws of the state in which it originated, said bar shall be a complete defense to any action thereon, brought in any of the courts of Missouri. This is why I want to know what constitutes a "Cause of Action". Would the Cause of Action have to come from Texas or from Missouri or does it matter?
