A stop payment can be put on a cashiers check or a bank check,or even a money order.

I know he said it was a "fraudulent" check, but he also said he had the car, and obviously also had receive the $$,it did not occur to me that anyone could still be taken in by that old scam, it was more likely, (crude and rude as it may seem) that it was an e-bay or similar transaction and he had not delivered the car as agreed.
