go to naca.net and find an attorney who specializes in the fdcpa immediately. that letter is such a violation of the fdcpa it is not even funny. you cannnot say you have been retained to file a lawsuit against you and you have 30 days to respond for validation. That is called overshadowing- and one of the worst cases of overshadowing I have seen. run run run to an attorney. not only do you have the obvious overshadowing but you cannot threaten to sue on a time barred debt. I would have a field day with that letter.
