To make a long story short. In 1989 I had a difficult break-up with a boyfriend. During our relationship he purchased a home and I lent him $25,000 for a down payment. A year later we called it off and the real estate market was soft. He told me to stay in the house and he would sign the property over to me since he could not sell it. We agreed that I would refinance the home in three months and he would keep his current mortage and make the payments as a settlement for the interest on the money he borrowed. He ended up finding a buyer for the property and decided to sell. I told him that we had an agreement and I was sitcking by it. Since our agreement was verbal he decided to evict me from the property.

Now the legal battle started. He ended up paying me the 25,000 back and then he filed a suit agianst me for "unpaid rent". He used the address of the house he just sold as my service address. Needless to say I never received the service and did not find out about the judgement untill years after it had been filed. He never tried to collect or contact me so not wanting to have contact with him agian I just let the issue drop.

The original judgement was filed in 1990 and today I received a recorded copy of an abstract judgement that had been refiled in August of 2003. I had never been served for any of these judgements and currently I own my own business and quite a large real estate holdings. What should I do? Help!!!
