IF they sue, and its possible for 11K, and IF they get a judgment, its still not a given that they'll take anything from you. If the do go that far, and it takes MONTHS, you can include the judgment in your BK, it will be discharged, and you won't pay anyone a DIME. You get the judgment vacated and you're free and clear.

How much a BK costs depends on where you are. The filing fee for a Ch 7 is set at $200. Many lawyers will take payments until their fee is paid before they'll file for you.
