honestly, i really don't know why i was not sued. i don't know enough about how it all works to be able to answer that. all i know is that as aggressively as they called me...as well as my employers, i never answered a call...thanks to caller i.d.. it was probably 3 steady years or more of that though.

whether the following statement is true or not, i always remembered something a bankruptcy lawyer told me way back, when i first considered filing in '98 but couldn't afford to file at the time (and was really worried about the unknown consequences of my debt biting me in the a** before i could file...like, will i be sued over and over again and lose everything) ... he told me "contrary to what you may have read, heard or seen on tv, there are no credit card police. no one will come to get you. they can't take what you already have and they can't put you in jail for not paying them." knowing this, i was not afraid to blow off their attempts to contact me, for i wasn't able to pay anyway...so what good would it have done me to answer, outside of aggrevate me.
