I live in Missouri and a little over a year ago, this company called FCS tried to collect on some so called phone charges on a telephone number that I had not had for over a year.

After talking with some extremely rude people, I finally got a supervisor on the phone and she told me what to do. Per her instructions, I mailed a request for copies of all charges along with $25.00 to cover this costs, this was on February 15, 2002. To my bad I did not send it CRRR, but I do have a copy of the letter and would be able to get copy of cancelaed check. After not hearing back from these people I assumed that this was deleted from their system as it was deleted from credit report. Now over a year later they are back on my credit report.

Should I start this whole process over from scatch or should I just start off by sending them a copy of the first verification letter. I have copy of the original letter if you would like to read it.

Any information would be helpful.
