Mbna bought a very small account from Fleet and has been trying to get me to pay it. I refused for months. One day recently, someone called and offered to go to 1% not only on this small account but on my current credit card with Mbna so I agreed. I received a fax that day and the original in the mail later of that agreement. I did not agree to any draft of my checking account. Today, I get a call from someone else at Mbna that says I cannot get the deal. I have not missed a payment, nor have I been late on the other account. The deal was made 08-29-03..The person I made the agreement with was not in today...What are they trying to pull??? Do they really hate to see people pay them off and get out of debt or what???
