Asset & Mervyns OH MY!

Just talked to Mervyns, trying to get the charge off date so I could determine SOL (can't wait till I get that CR in the mail...) However ALL they could tell me was that the account has been transferred to Asset Acceptance. They do not know WHEN the last payment was made or when it was charged off, "once its transferred we don't keep a record of it."
So apparently now those two statements are ALL they have at Mervyns. So if Mervyns can't provide the accounting how can Asset Acceptance get validation from the original creditor???? And does that mean that Asset SHOULD have a record of it but just isn't giving it up? LOL, mervyns don't know NOTHING, and Asset is playing dumb, its the battle of dumbasses verses the naive idiot!
