Hi all (esp Why Chat),

I've searched through the Kansas State Statutes and I am either intellectually challenged and/or thouroughly confused. I can't find the relevant statute for SOL of open accounts to reference in a SOL letter to a CA.

This CA has sent me a letter via standard US mail notifying me that they have referred my case to a "Pre-litigation Liaison" and that "unless this account is resolved with our office, within 21 days from the date of this letter, we will be forwarding this file to a lawyer in your State with instructions to commence legal action, obtain Judgement and enforce same through due-process remedies afforded by your State" So, I am trying to prepare a SOL letter (from the one on your website) but I can't find the relevant statute in the Kansas CONSUMER CREDIT CODE. I have this statute in pdf form (available at http://www.osbckansas.org/DOCML/DOCMLLaws&Regs/Chapter%2016a.pdf and searchable at http://www.kslegislature.org/cgi-bin/statutes/index.cgi ). Is it possible for you to help me find it?

Thank you in advance for any help,

Matt in Kansas

PS. The § part of your SOL letter is intended to refer to history dates of the statute or ? Thanks again. Utterly confused.
