Find out EXACTLY the date of the judgment & when the 10 years is up. Then find out what NY's procedure is to renew the judgment. They will have to file prior to the ten year expiration. Find out how long you have. You should consider delaying tactics to get to the 10 year mark. You might consider hiring a lawyer to help you are not confident in doing it yourself.
If you delay and they screw up and don't renew -- it's SOL!!
