I can't afford an attorney. I work as a medical transcriptionist, but am an idependent contractor for the company. The company is in a different state than mine and I'm assuming that they would have to get the money from the company, which I am also assuming would not be bound by a court order from my state. I don't have a bank account and I don't own anything, so my paycheck is the only thing they would have any chance of getting. I live in a state that allows garnishment, and the state the company is in also allows garnishment.
