Yes, I have, and as to something "staying in his office" if it is a judgment it will be a public record, if he is just marking the file as "closed" or preferably issuing a dismissal with prejuidice, which would prevent any refiling, then that is another case. You cannot just arbitrarily wave a magic wand and have a docketed case disappear.
