The judge said, that he could't dismiss it without prejudice because it was just a no show on their part. In any case, even if it does make it onto my credit report, I rather have that, then pay those SOB's anything. I'm sure they would sue again. They didn't want to except a 40% setllement offer 10 days prior to the court date and the actual balance as of now is about 50% higher,then what they were suing me for( interest and fees)
I decided not to get into debt ever again, I setlled three major accounts and paid down smaller one's, even if I need credit ever again it would only be for another house. I don't think $0 judgement would effect a mortgage. I kept three small credit cards, just to have some credit history going, but there will not be any major borrowing for me in the future, I learned my lesson.
Thanks for your opinion and that needed advise, that you have given to people, that have nowhere else to turn..
