Spiegel - so maybe Newport News??? THAT would make sense - but I know it was never the balance that they are reporting! My balance was only $89, I paid it nd closed it becuase I was peeved at their $35 late charges that I got when payments were made ON the DUE DATE. and they reported it at $1000 and that THEY canceled it. It is also listed as being reported in December of 1997 and I didn't open it till March 1998. Interesting. At least they have the "never late" part of things right! (yeah charged late fees when never late, now you see why I canceled)
