We have leased vehicles for years (mainly thru Ford), and what we've found is that most answers are available in your leasing contract. Yes, I know it's a long, legal document, and a pain in the butt to read, but this is your first bet. With Ford, you have the option of re-leasing, purchasing or turning in the vehicle. Purchasing does not necessarily mean you have to finance with Toyota. You may find your loan for the balance elsewhere, such as a bank or credit union where your credit history is good. Your other option, and the one I recommend, is to simply call Toyota and ask them what options you have at the end of the lease, what interest rate they charge on buy-outs, etc. While, you screwed up, you also made good, so don't approach this as though you are in the position of needing to beg for good treatment. You're still the customer.
