If this was 1996 or early 1997 that the account was charged off,it can be disputed as obsolete.

Sears charged off the account and sold it to a collection agency,who then collected from you by filing suit within the Ca. SOL time limit. You paid the collection agency attorney and avoided a judgment. The collection agency is not showing on your report.

You have no case as the account WAS charged off by Sears.
