No court date or anything. They have a signed contract and the copies of the few statements from the OC that led up to charge-off and I have a feeling that this will be enough for the judge to rule against me.

It is past the 4 year SOL, but with Ohio laws being so unclear, I don't even feel confident that I would win with that. I can't deny that's it's mine, and I don't think the judge will even let me get past that issue. I don't even think the judge is going to care how much the CA paid for the account. I can't afford an attorney either, and it would probably cost me just as much or more to hire one than what the debt is anyway.

I'm afraid that with the extra intrest and fees that they're going for as well, that this debt could end up increasing by $2000-3000. I'm pregnant and definitely don't need the stress. We're actually considering just filing chapter 7 in the spring.
