My last "on time" payment (by my records) was in May of 2000. The 2 $50 payments made after the charge off were made in response to a letter from the OC that to avoid suit I needed to pay. I offered $50 a month and they said that would be fine. There was never any offer to rescind the charge off, just pay or we will refer account to collector and you could be sued. Those payments were made in May and June of 2001. I called the OC to find out what was going on with this account and get some info to confirm what the CA sent me and they said they didn't know anything, they had no records of it anymore other than my account #, address, and that it was transferred to a collector.

I do not have any old CR to show it was ever on there. But I assumed that OC would report accounts. THanks for your site Whychat - knowing that the OC is supposed to report to CRAs the last payment date and charge off date gives me hope that I can fight this if the SOL avenue doesn't pan out.....
