I slipt in March 2000 and my husband moved out, taking a Blazer 1999(a leased car).
I was the co-signer. In August 2000 we had the Final judgment of Dissolution of marrige.
My ex-husand took himself the responsability to pay the lease and until november 2000 he paid it.
In February, the lease company called me and comunicate my ex-husband abandon the car in JFK Airport and went to Brazil.
My question:
Am I responsible for the lease, or the final judgment of dissolution release me the obligation?
The lease company say : yes... the dealer: say no, I am not responsible.
