: : : does anyone know how to get in touch with this company? They have destroyed my credit by saying I owe them $17 but i have never heard of them and can't find out where to pay it or whom to speak with about it. please email me at go2car@2die4.com if you can help. thank you!!

: : Switchboard.com has nationwide telephone numbers and addresses for almost all businesses. If that fails, possibly because the company has merged or changed its name, you could inquire with the Secretary of State's office in each state where the company might have been located - they keep track of corporate name changes. "Gulf State Credit" is the sort of name that should allow you to narrow down the number of states quite a bit :-) If that still doesn't work, file disputes with the credit reporting agencies (make sure you deal with all three); if they can't contact Gulf State Credit to verify the debt, the notations should come off your file.

: : TRY 800-240-0324 GULF STATE CREDIT HAS BEEN
: CALLING OUR BUSINESS TRYING TO REACH AN EMPLOYEE.
: THEY ARE ALMOST VIOLENTLY RUDE.

They are on my credit file also.
