10,000.00 IN CREDIT CARD DEBT.

My girlfriend has 10,000.00 in past cc debt, she has not paid for a least 2 years and has stopped recieving mail from the cc company. the question is, if and when she is ready to start paying the debt down how will she go about this if she can not pay very much at a time. Will or can they hound her for more money?
