As far as I can tell, it will help but only a very,
little bit. My understanding is that "Paid Collection"
is only slightly better than Charge off or Collection.
And they all stay on your report for 7 years either way.
If anybody tells me differently, then maybe I will
pay mine. In the meantime, our mortgage broker told
me that his sources will virtually ignore anything
over 3 years old.
