I have a Student Loan starting in 1986 that became delinquent in 1993 and reported to the credit bureau at that time. AS of 2/1/99, the loan was paid in full after collection procedures. The account is scheduled to continue on my record until 2-2006. Is there anything I can do to have this removed? As I now have a perfect payment record, and why was this extended after complete payment in 1999?
